I have a great moral dilemma.
Over the years, I have kept a big folder of pictures, categorizing pics as I save them to this grand folder hierarchy.
A lot of it is considered porn, though there are many that are not. Fanart, screenshots, discussion screenshots, it's a lot of my past that I'm considering deleting, but can't go "yep, it gone" and delete it all. I also have lots of screenshots from games, but I'm losing the need to take so many and may end up playing videogames much less in the coming months and years.

Have you tried therapy before? I know I recommend that a lot, but it really can help to undo some of the damage. You have to get yourself to a point where you can reasonably trust others, or nothing will ever change. Despite how it seems, a lot of people out there are decent and those are the people you'll want to be able to form a connection with. It can help.
But as far as someone randomly coming along to fix all your problems and pick you up and change your whole life? That's a dream. It almost never happens for anyone, so it's on each of us to work and solve our problems however we can.

Movies are pretty universal. Whatever just came out recently, you could ask if they've seen it and what they thought about it if so. Any movie you like, you could ask them if they saw it before. If they have, what did they think? If they haven't, tell them why you like it.
That same line of questioning applies to video games or any other common 21st century human activity.
Ask them what they like to do for fun. Ask them if they have any hobbies. Depending on the age group, you could ask if they <go to college/are planning to go to college/etc.> If they do, ask them what they're majoring in, then ask them why.
Some people like to talk about stuff their family/friends did recently, they remember something random that happened to them recently and talk about it to some random person because they just feel like sharing. Pretend you're one of those people, even if you're not. Unless they're unsociable, they'll probably come back with a story of their own that's similar. That's when you can play off of their story and ask them questions about their personal life, like their family or significant other if that applies. "How did you meet your girlfriend?" etc.

I would argue that depends on your metric. Everyone's life is terrible in some regard, and we all focus on the most negative metric so we always feel like we have it worse than others.
