These painting look pretty neat.
Funfact:
The artist Zdzisław Beksiński
>drew pictures of his dreams
>burned a portion of his pictures due to beeing to private
>was murdered over about 100$

He was a polish artist who dudntvstart painting til later on in his life. Was a nice dude, didn't even think his art was "dark," just really enjoyed creating it. Got into hella weird digital art towards the end. Stabbed by his landlords son over money he wouldn't lend him. His son also suicided a few years before and he never got over it.
Another fun fact about him:
He didn't give a name to any of his pictures.
>>707045839
>didn't even think his art was "dark"
If this isn't dark i don't know what is
Many of his pictures also involve corrupted sexuality. Interpret this any way you want.

re

It's odd, I mean this picture does contain imagery that can be considered dark, but I also see love and compassion. As if a couple who loved each other intensely, died together and now are connected forever in an afterlife or afterdeath if that is even a word.
As if rotting together is a more dedicated expression of love than meeting in some afterlife paradise.
>>707046546
A very intresting way to see it. You just might be right...
>>707046672
Pictures like this are also quiet intresting. People in every day situations ending up in hell.
I think it's something about the mortality of everyone and everything - even though we can't see it.
>>707046836
whoops - forgot pic
>>707046624
Well interpreting art is very subjective, so I can be right in the sense that this is the emotions it invokes in me. I do agree with you though, there is something calming or even somehow comforting in these depictions of hell like landscapes.
>>707047141
I see an election in this picture, a bunch of thinking heads trying to elect the unthinking body that has just freed itself and is stepping out of the box.
It's crazy how much stuff he made. I know this artist for years and i still find pictures i don't know yet.

this all reminds me a lot of berserk
>>707047790
>>707047850
The anime? I really didn't think it was that gory - if it is i may give it a watch, but since 90% of anime is trash...
Now this is something odd: a human interacting with a mummified person. I think this is about the impending death of the soldier.
>>707048173
well mainly the manga to be fair
its generally more gory than most animes but I am on the question for the goriest anime out there. Hard to find good ones lol.
they made a new '16 version of berserk with different animation style but other than that, the old school berserk tends to be a bit better
>>707048356
I watched some animes - what do you like?
I may give you a watchable one.
>>707048476
I've been watching anime on and off for about 6 years lol give me anything
as bad as it sounds i only keep up with naruto atm because i have no time to get into others, i usually watch a few eps and get bored. e.g. Sousei no Onmyouji
lots of blood, gore, ghost in the shell, berserk kind of shit is cool?
>>707048668
In terms of gore there is probably no topping Hellsing Ultimate.
I personally really enjoyed planetes for it's realism and lack of pantyshots.
Also Psycho Pass gets thematically close to ghost in the shell.
There are others, but there's no point in posting a detailed list here.
>>707049145
>>707049279
>>707048909
only 10 eps?
was looking for something a bit longer lol.
but thankyou for the recommendations, will be bookmarking them!
also loving the art
>>707049343
This is defnetly no long term thing but these episodes are more like movies then regular anime episodes.
Now this one is strange - i actually found a 'happy' picture.
Another surprisingly light picture.

God bless you qt
>>707051361
Really? Notre Dame looks special because it was never finished. It was supposed to have spires on top of its tower, but it never got done. I doubt there are many others left unfinished like that, but I could be wrong.
>>707051573
Oh, this is a detail i didn't know about.
You're probably right.

The manga is where the real sick imagery comes from.

That's it folks, we've reached the imagecap.
I hope you enjoyed the thread as much as i did, see you arround.
