Samefag. Got involved in a keto community online after being on the diet for a while. It wasn't just me and that dermatologist's patients. Almost everyone that has acne that has tried keto said the same thing, it either cured or greatly diminished their acne, in a surprisingly short time frame.
Place a towel over your pillow every night. Its a bit easier to wash than a pillow case and you probably have more of them around.
Diet also helps with acne along with regular washing.
If none of that works then the Accutane people suggesting is your next bet.
If that don't work, contemplate suicide.

I know a potential way. I'm an environmental scientist, and this isn't even my field. But I'll pretend you're one of my specimens. It worked on a turtle with a fungus infection.
Get a jar of cold pressed coconut oil, and a tube or two of propolis tooth paste.
Wash your face with a basic soap. E. G. Not scented etc. Use a face towel, and wash your face until it's not oily, you're probably going to bleed, so don't worry.
Mix 3 teaspoons of coconut oil to a small dab of propolis toothpaste. Mix it together and rub into your face.
The turtles infection went away in like a week. Not sure why I think it will fix your face, but you've got nothing to loose.

Get some hydrogen peroxide, and a clean cloth.
Sit your ass down, pour hydrogen peroxide on cloth (lots), pass the cloth all over your acne. Leave the peroxide on, then after 2 minutes, wipe it off with another clean, dry cloth. Repeat process for 2 hours. Do not rinse the peroxide off with water. Just a dry clean cloth.
Hydrogen peroxide is a de-bridger. That means it removes dead skin cells, literally burning them off. If you have an open wound, it'll eat the coagulated blood, leaving a white scab behind.
Your face will smooth up real soon.

Try taking cold showers only, hot showers dry your skin out pretty bad. It might be hard to do if you're not used to it but honestly works for me... Sometimes in the beginning I would take a hot shower just because I like them, then BAM pimples the next day. Don't use any products either, just clean your hands well with soap and then rub your face under the cold running water. Don't go on to clean the rest of your body and touch your face again. Also, don't pop pimples and spread that oil - it makes the red spots last longer anyway.
Maybe rub some coconut oil / shea butter mixture on your face before shower. The excess oil will trigger your body to stop producing so much sebum oil, which is what cloggs up in your pores when they're blocked with dirt or infection. The vitamin E will help heal scars from popping and also add to general skin health.

How do you guys do laundry? I know a lot of my friends just pour in a huge amount of liquid detergent and was everything together. Their clothes always have a layer of grease, old soap, generally feel wet and sticky. When washing your pillowcases, start the washer on hot water, put a little bit of powder soap in and let it suds, put your cases and pillows too if you have old pillows in, and a little bit more on top. Dawn also works well, but you have to add it before the clothes, not on top.
