I've lived in Florida my entire life, and it annoys me when every time there's a hurricane there's always those people that feel the need to tell everyone else they're overreacting. Listen here, faggots. I lived in North Miami during Andrew, and though I was only 7, I remember that shit being terrifying. My parents lost their brand new car, and part of our neighbors roof caved in killing their dog. Our neighborhood was practically fucking destroyed.
I lived in Ft. Lauderdale during Wilma, and I remember how everyone was saying "ahhh you guys make a big deal out of everything we're just getting a little rain!" Truthfully, we didn't prepare jack shit for Wilma, and that ended up coming back to bite us in the ass. We were without power for almost 3 weeks, and you couldn't find food, water, or gas ANYWHERE. My dad was panicking by the third day, and we ended up only being able to find food at the Hard Rock in Hollywood. A tree branch crashed through my parent's window, and our entire screen enclosure collapsed into the pool and caused like $15 grand worth of damage to the pool.
These things fucking suck. Especially when they're expected to be a cat 3 or cat 4. I wouldn't fuck around with it to be honest.
