His purpose was to prove that he could handle the oval office, in case he became president.
He did nothing of the like, he just insulted Trump the same way Hillary did, and everybody else has done since June 2015.
Kaine proved yesterday that he is not fit to be president. Pence on the other hand was calm and collected, and proved that he could handle the presidency.
Now, I realize that there is a possibility that Kaine's purpose wasn't to prove that he is capable of being president, but to attack Trump in front of 50 million people. However, he didn't really say anything new that people didn't know, and he sounded like an autist doing so. Hillary delivered the attacks to Trump much better on the first debate.
I can't understand how could somebody spin this as a Kaine victory. He lost as comfortably as Trump did last monday, perhaps even more so.
We all know if the polls say someone won a debate that must mean they are going to win an election.
