Not sure about your country, but where I live you pretty much just go to school for 2-3 years, work as a apprentice for 1-2 years depending on the "line" (ocean, land, computer, etc) and then you usually get hired by them unless you're too autistic or start a fire.

I ran power from my garage, through my shed and down to my chicken coop.
The metal box at the chicken coop is 50 feet from the garage, and about 10 feet downhill, near a creek.
The wire may or may not have been hit by a shovel along the line.
When I touch the metal electrical box at the chicken coop, I feel current. It isn't enough to set off the GFCI at either end.
Can I solve this with a grounding rod, or do I need to dig up the wire and repair that shovel break?

Yeah, why are so many electricians reluctant to troubleshoot circuits? I had an issue with a rooftop HVAC unit that was tripping a breaker. I fucking checked amperage on every component, even running each load simultaneously to pull max load amperage and none of them went over the trip value of the breaker. Which was 100 amps btw. But sure enough after about 4-6 hours of run time that shit would trip out. Told the renter they needed an electrician to check the circuit. The electrician came in and literally reset the breaker, watched it for 5 minutes and told me it was the unit. NOPE, turns out it was a stripped bus. And some jackass oversized the breaker to keep it from tripping. mfw i met the guy on site after we found the problem for him.

Old switch has no markings and all non-ground wires are the same black with no markings.
I thought I would only need a 2 way switch as this switch is the only one to turn on the light.
After getting the power back on, the new switch turned the light on just fine, but it was now interacting with 2 separate light switches keeping them always on or off. Since there are no markings on anything and the old switches are different from the new switches I gave up for the day and put everything back how it originally was.

Each of the three colored switches are supposed to turn on the related colored light only. All are on the same circuit for the house.
The green colored switch is what i needed to replace. After replacing it the all the lights turned on when I used only the green colored switch. Messed around more and was able to make the green colored switch a master such that orange and pink would not turn on unless green was also on.
Then gave up.

I don't know the terminology too well but I'm guessing that the switch wire and power in wire were incorrect when I replaced it. With no markings I had to guess, then tried another config and it didn't work either.

Ok try not to leave so much bareshowing on that back stab in. It's like I said though. On wire is a free in power for that switch and one is a feed out to all the other lights. They need to be under the same side, doesn't what one. The third is a switch leg, the switch breaks the circuit to kill power to the light and closes the circuit back to provid power. The way you had it was opening the circuit and killing power to the other switches.

If it has prints learn how to read them.
Split the neutral to isolate any possible shorts to neutral because these are a huge pain in the ass to track down.
Be wary of backfeeding issues too, just like neutral shorts they look like something else and are hard to track down.

Why don't you reread the question and think it through again. Plugging a 20A load into a circuit limited to 15A is illegal? If it overloads the circuit, the breaker will blow. Nothing will melt. Now if you draw 27A and the equipment is relying on a breaker blowing at 20A, then things will start to melt.

Thats what you do champ, it doesnt matter if the load is lower than the breaker rating, if there is a plug going on one end of that circuit it needs to be rated for the circuit protection, the idea is for the breajer to trip or fuse to blow before a component of the circuit is damaged.

It was a fuse panel in the scullery of the ship I served on while in the navy.
