The entire senior Republican leadership hates him. Paul Ryan comes out weekly apologising for him and asking him to explain himself. Reince Preibus hates him but is putting on a strong facade. Mitch McConnell says the senate will never cooperate with him. His only high-level party support is the House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy. It's a catastrophe waiting to happen.
Pence won by far. Kaine came across as smug and condescending. Pence could probably beat Hillary Clinton in this election to be president. Trump picked a really, really good running mate here. I'm very impressed and feel much better about my decision to vote for Trump which I had already made before this debate. But it feels like a stronger decision now, more confident.
