Also, the guarantee is expired at this time, but ive been in contact with my insurance company way before it expired but ive just been thrown back an forth. Although that shouldn't be a problem since I have an email from my insurance about the issue since before it expired.

uhh... actually, the newer MBPs are pretty damned good. Screen is one of the best in the industry, and when there is a product refresh, if you spec out another laptop manufacturer, part for part as best you can, you'll find MBPs are pretty much the same price. Now, 6 months down the road, while other vendors have dropped their prices, Apple won't, so they wind up more expensive.
We use them here at MIT all over the place. Mine dual boots Windows / Linux Mint, and it works great.
Bash Apple and their products all you want, and yeah their service couldn't suck enough, but they're damned good. I've also got Dells, Linovos, Sony, you name it around here, but the MBPs are by far the most common and the most popular.

Easy fix. Unscrew the bottom cover before it warps the aluminum, it will probably have pulled at least one screw through the metal.
Remove the battery
It will probably allow the trackpad to fall back into place, then again if it didn't it's still an easy fix. This is a common problem with that model.
