No idea why they never made a sequel to this game.
meh the gaming studios are too busy with online content to care about making actual good campaign games anymore.
For instance GTA 5. That had a great storyline yet they never released any campaign DLC and only did online. That online got boring really quickly.
Another example is The Simpson's Hit and Run. Absolutely incredible and then the next Simpsons Game didn't even try to be better.
The 2009 Ghostbusters. Once again a superb game and now they release the 2016 Ghostbusters game. Fucking pathetic which deserves nothing higher than a 1/10 for them charging full price ($80 in Australia) for an arcade game which looks like it's from some $10 app shop.
Don't get me started on Star Wars Battlefront having no campaign and only 5 levels compared to Battlefront 2 which had 30+ levels and a couple campaigns along with the conquest mode.

I doubt anyone remembers this one. The best Far Cry storyline in my opinion. Basically a re-imagining of Far Cry 1 but this time Jack Carver gets injected with something which makes him have super abilities. The campaign consisted of tons of fun levels in tropical settings and Crowe, Doyle, Cortez, Carver are some of my favorite game characters.
In the loading screen; you would get to read tons of backstory on each of the characters.
This only has one of the best soundtracks to a game ever.

But think about it for a moment, the sounds in this game in general were mad. Play me a sound of any gun shooting in this game, any nazi screaming "main god" and dying with agonizing noises, any sounds of a kick breaking stuff or even the fucking knife going "hoff hoff hoff" and I will immediately name the game.
Forget about the background music.
This game was perfected at every level.
They didn't have amazing graphics, fantastic models, but they were putting all the love into the core and gameplay experience. And as the games from that era prove, in the end it is the most important thing really.

Well before dark crusade was winter assault which had the campaign for marines/eldar or chaos/orks, so it wasn't the first time, but agreed it was nice to actually get to completely choose what you played.. The two new races in soulstorm were ok, and the tonnes of mods dedicated to it are dandy, but jesus tau got so overpowered. The hurricane flying units that got added to their already incredible firepower was hell.
This game was beast. Weird as hell, but one of my favorites.

we do like 3v3 or 4v4 and i usually run support in the back line, so i dont do much, take donations from the scouters on the front taking CPs and ill take a relic, and then ill just pump out power units to support them.
a personal endgame favorite is the melee terminators with thunderhammers and storm shields. p-much invincible in melee and ignore vehicle armour and knock down anything thats not massive.
but the simplest annoyance is krons. thier base unit is already upgraded from the start and can increase squad size to 20. really good early game rushers. sheit i gotta ask them i gotta download this again

I don't know where you stopped, but if you haven't experienced the laboratories and the UberSoldiers then you are missing out. The later winter levels with sniper rifles were pretty awesome too.
The final boss battle is pure badass and this game have the fucking Heinrich Himmler in it's final cut scene.
I know that many people were saying fuck it all after the 5th level - Forest (if I remember the name) where you had to go stealth past the enemies, because it was kinda confusing and you had to find the trick to do it, but it is worth it going forward.
The game is only 200mb I think, I'm just saying.

My favourite endgame was without a doubt the Eldar's avatar of Khaine. Mother fucker was massive, but Eldars squads all excel at only one thing and such at everything else so you had to micro so much you barely got to just sit back and watch your avatar wreak havoc.

dow 2 had legit tyranid but the game play was dumbed down and the scale was lowered so much.

It had single player and multiplayer, the only difference was Co-Op and the character stats and such were saved online so you DIDNT HAVE TO FUCKING RESTART THE GOD DAMNED GAME EVERY TIME THEY PATCHED IT, Because ya know, It would always be incompatible with single player saves from the last version.

It was fucking intense from start to finish, replayability in just about every level, constantly felt like a survivor game from having no ammo, always tense for the amount of crazy shit that could happen. Actually, that's some kinda bad news, from what I see there's actually only three races I've seen work on. Space Marines, Eldar, and Orks. I think that's what the three vanilla releases will be, including multiplayer :( I seriously fucking hope there's at least 5 races though. I soo badly hope for that. Any others may just be dlc though. I know for sure they're not gonna pull a star wars battlefront 3 on us and be a content-size disappointment, surely they'll release more if they don't release lots of them in the first place.

It was a PC game about a military going for some mission in space (a rescue one if I remember correctly?). It was a turned based strategy when you were using vehicles to fight with aliens and their vehicles.
