I've taken a half dozen variations of the mbti and mostly get INTP but sometimes get INTJ. MBTI isn't 100% accurate and scientific, but it is definitely not complete horseshit like a horoscope. Someone's MB type is the most general description you can have of them while still being precise enough to categorize them.

The tests aren't 100% accurate, and are only a broad method of gathering all the variances in individuals and categorizing them. Some of us have ascended beyond these things with self reflection. I do what I must, and act as my values prescribe. I personally often view myself and my environment in the special "third person perspective". Try it sometime. You'll go down a rabbit hole that I think you'll quite enjoy.

That's why it's so wonderful when you can realise your faults and start correcting them. I started ignoring being perfect in every aspect of my life and it was such a huge relief. It's hard at first to let go of this habit, but you will have so much more fun after. I used to always go for 100% in games, and I would constantly have to look up all the quests and what not, such a let down that I couldn't enjoy the actual game anymore.
As to other people: learn to communicate, learn to see that people have different opinions than you and even other people around them and that this shouldn't offend you or bother you too much, and you can learn to stand for yourself or simply not be offended or bothered by it anymore.
This is the difference between a turbulent and an assertive INFP. Or: learn to be confident

You should all consider that the personality type you were now tested for is nothing static. Although I have now been tested for ESTJ-A, there was certainly a transition throughout the years.
I have been living pretty much isolated most of my youth and have been tested for INTP a couple of years ago. Only the realization that I am not suited for being a wage slave made me get out and interact with the world in a way that will benefit me. Ever since there has been a great effort in transforming my environment to my liking. This is not what I naturally am; without these economic constraints I'd prefer to stay home most of the days or sometimes wander around alone (or with one other person) through beautiful landscapes and think about structures of the universe. But there are these economic constraints and the result of my try to minimize my suffering throughout life is that I became ESTJ-A on the surface.

that's not what working is about. You can't really choose who to work for, only choose who to apply to. I don't need titles and approval from others to feel superior. I don't even feel superior or want to feel that way. I know that I know more than most people in a couple of areas and I know that I am a better thinker than most but that does not raise my value as a person nor do any moral attitudes. That a person has a value (apart from the monetary value he creates) is a wrong thought. No one is superior to anybody.

well IQ does indeed matter in some way. Firstly, it does not represent intelligence. Secondly, it is a quantification of the degree of the mental ability that suits certain kinds of jobs society demands. It is mainly formed by economic constraints. Myers Briggs indeed matters as much as the IQ: it can show what you are suited for as of now. As stated earlier, it is dynamic and in addition to that: it of course is an abstraction from what's really there. If you get into details, there certainly are more than 16 personality types.

While it's true some are not as comprehensive, I've always received the same result from multiple tests (INTP) with some flux in the 3rd letter.
A common mistake people make is answering the questions from their own perspective, which is to say it can be influenced by the perception of yourself. You should answer it as objectively as possible, trying to see it your actions in 3rd person.
Finally, it's not an indicator of personality, as so many people become butt hurt about, thinking it's hocus-pocus or astrology. It's an indicator of thinking patterns, which are likely to be pretty consistent after adolescence. That includes "coloring" of your results by being more prone to emotion-based decision making.

Honestly pretty eerie you say that because I basically consider all of those things my strengths, especially the second one. I mean I guess in my head I've always used it to support the people I care about- But as I've had to overcome that instinct to 'switch masks' constantly, or I start feeling like I'm losing myself.
