I played it non-killing style I got to the end boss before i realized I could keep the that cow lady alive, I restarted and ran right through it to the point of it being boring.

Absolutely loved the game. I understand why it was so hyped, and I think people who don't like it either don't understand what the writer was trying to do, or they are just stuck in shoot-em-up type games. Personally, out of all the games that came out this year, I had the most unadulterated fun playing this one, and I've played it all three times (that it takes to get all the endings). I think what really gets me about Undetale was how fast the fanbase went to absolute shit.
Undertale was released in September, and it wasn't all that popular until about December-January. It was everywhere. And with its popularity came the inevitable porn and AU's. (They're both absolute garbage.)
This game was, what, 6 or 7 months old before you could easily find pictures of Daddy Dom Papyrus or Flowey with a dick, not to mention people killing themselves for being against a ship, which earned them rape and death threats.
Point is, this is the fastest a fandom has risen and fallen. Even Homestuck was destroyed slower than this.

I fucking loved it. I was lucky to play it without knowing much about it so the hype didn't really affect me at all. I grew up playing SNES JRPGs including Earthbound so it was right up my alley. Especially loved how creepy and dark it got in the Genocide route.
