I'm fine with not having access to those things, because I can get any gun I want, I just have a limit to the mag size. Which isn't really an issue, if you're shitty enough that you need more than one or two rounds to down your target, the rest of your shots won't help you in close quarters.
To be honest, I've been shooting since I was 4, and have grown up loving guns. I feel the Americans gun laws are a bit archaic, but any tweaking to them would put everyone on tilt. All I feel that's necessary is going through a course for proper handling and usage. It's what we have in Canada, and our gun accidents and crime is ridiculously low comparatively.
Canada however should implement open carry laws federally. Not by province. It would eventually lead to a lower crime rate and a lower gun fatality rate due to everyone carrying and being properly trained in use.
