Armory bread, post all your weapons (guns, knives, ect.)

I know, my armory is shit at the moment. I've had this shitty rifle since I was 18, getting a shotgun soon. Not sure what exactly want. Also saving for a pistol to conceal carry.

Im totally pro gun, but I am with you there to a certain extent. I dont know why mr. only goes to the range once a month needs 3 ARs, 2 AKs, and 5 pistols. Not like they are going to classes and using them for specific things. I could see collecting older guns, but some people I guess keep their guns for show instead of as tools.

>>
>>703810784

Guns are a lot more specialized than non-gun people usually realize. I currently have 5 handguns. That may seem weird, but they all serve different purposes. I have 2 guns that I carry, a larger one when I'm wearing jackets and a smaller one for t-shirt weather, a competition handgun, a home-defense bedside handgun with a light on it, and a cheap "beater" handgun that I shoot a ton at the range and basically abuse.

>>
>>703810784

I like military rifles, so it's more for collecting/hobby purposes than anything else. But a lot of people have multiple guns because they do different things...i.e. certain rifles/shotguns just for hunting, several different types/sizes of handguns for carrying and home defense, etc. Handguns are especially varied because they do different things...a super compact handgun is great for carry but a larger, double-stack handgun is better for home defense and target shooting, etc

>>
>>703811763

>>
>>703806380

You need to start talking about accessories and other forms of protection like body armor.

Who owns a kevlar vest? Ballistic face mask? Dragon skin? Full head to toe armor set up? AR500 or 550 plates? Anything with titanium or ever tungsten (most likely not for that one).

Even active defense. Dead mans triggers, deployable smoke or creative things like building a device around the armor that sprays chemicals outward from your body so that if people get near or tackle you, you can escape. You can take this as far was you want. You don't just need a sword, you also need a shield.

Tops makes the best knife in my opinion. They are pricey though.

>>703813370
In my opinion yes. They are way easier to maintain than an ar-15 and arguably more reliable. The are way shorter as well being a bullpup making more useful in urban scenarios.
Remember there is no price tag when it comes to safety.

I assume you own this knife. Why is it recommended? It's a bit smaller than I'd like but I'm not gonna whine about it. Pro's ans con's about this knife?
>>
>>703813891
The quality of the steel I find is at least above average, and it holds an edge well even after much abuse. Full tang instead of some of the other moderately priced knives.
Very durable, heavy, good for hacking stuff up. Haven't had any issues with it besides trying to put an edge to the damn thing.

Took me a bit to get used to the steep angle of the edge, but now I can get it as sharp as I need it to be.

All in all, a great knife in the 60 - 80 dollar range.

Can you repeat that, but with better reasoning than junk?

I'm not a knife freak, I don't revolve my life around what steel is best, what it looks like, what it smells like, what it feels like in my anus. I just needed a knife, for a decent price, and that's what I chose. Actually, that's what my girlfriend got me, but I helped her decide what to get.

I'm not going to go pay 200, 300 or 400 dollars for a knife when this one does what I needs it too just fine without any risk of breaking.

Most of their knives are made in china, they use cheap steel, their construction is poor, not sure how else to explain that. Boker, benchmade, CKRT even make better knives. S&W is a gun company, they don't make good knives or even make them at all.

You get charged for murder if someone breaks in your house, slips on something and breaks their neck. It doesn't really matter how they die, it's whether they die on your property or not.

So, if someone breaks in my house with intent to harm me or my possessions, they can at least die with the barrel of a gun in their face.

Great thread fellow anons.

Now where do you guys live im a bit curious.

Also what are your feelings towards your government?
>>

Dude, that SKS stock.. you should definetely refinish it or wash it at least
>>
>>703818419
Nah. Guy who's had his hands on a few of your "high end"(kek) knives and recognized a piece of sharpened metal with a bit of plastic or wood or cord around the handle for what it was. Just that. Also guns serve the defense purpose much better.
>>
>>703817706
The only country where if someone tries to kill you so you kill them first you go to prison. It pretty much boils down to any situation where someone puts you in danger, you just hope they don't actually kill you or something, I don't fucking know. This country is retarded.
>>
>>703818693
See that's what I mean. I don't own guns, so I'm a retard when it comes to guns.

It's not nearly as bad as it looks in the photo, that's mainly the lighting and camera quality.
It's just the plain hardwood one, a bit abnormally dark and a little beat-up. But it's an SKS so it's good enough as far as I'm concerned

>set up strawman that even a single person in this thread claimed that knives trump gun for self defense purposes

nice try, faggot

In addition, if you have to rely on a knife you wouldnt by 10 or 5 but 1 very good knife and yes there is a difference in the price ranges.

If you dont use your knife on a daily basis you wont notice them, but if you do its a hell of a difference.

Thanks for proving that you dont have a clue about knives.

Faggot.

Mine were 7% and it added like $40 to the price. Kinda caught me off guard. Won't do that again tho. Also he said if I was buying a used gun I could've made a deal with him but it being brand new he had his hands tied. Idk how much bullshit was in that but it seemed logical given the amount of shit selling guns has involved. And in GA a used gun could just as easily be "his property" and not a new gun sold "in the business"

For folding Kershaw USA made is good.

For fixed I second tops. They are great.

Spyderco is kinda hit or miss but they have a good standing.

I currently carry a Kershaw skyline Damascus. I have never wanted another folding knife. Since I don't plan one being a tactical ninja. It works on opening or cutting the stuff I need.

Fix blades the go to is anything USA from ka-bar. I prefer tops.

>>
>>703819262
I didn't set that up. Someone was already thinking it even if it was never said. I'm the KaBar guy. Most expensive knife I've ever owned. And I even traded a gun for it. I know about the 21 ft rule and all that shit. I even run katas for knife fighting(in private because that shit looks gay AF). But I digress. Once you reach a certain price point you're not getting anything better than the other $150+ knifes are offering. You're just spending more on a name. I have one great knife that I use every day. It's a folding razor blade utility knife. I pull it more than any knife I've ever owned. Usually around 15-20 times a day. I don't need more than that and if I go inna woods I take the kabar. I wouldn't take a shitty $15 ozark trail Bowie inna woods if I knew I'd actually need a knife.

It boils down to this. If you're gonna have guns fine. Figure out your purpose. No defensive usage? Unloaded and locked up as tight as possible all day. Carry one? Keep it separate from the rest and in the lowest condition you are comfortable with and make it reasonably easier for YOU to get to. Carry multiples and rely on some for home/middle of the night kicked in front door defense? Biometric nightstand vault for handguns, lockbox for particularly popular carry, and at this point your set defensively so your long guns can stay locked up in a cabinet.

Knife?
>>
>>703820561

I just can tell you, I own more than 200 knives and there is a difference.

Yes at some point the increased price is only justified by prestige and luxury but that point is not reached at 400 bucks. Thats all I am saying.

A knife needs to be well thought out, thats the main selling point to me. And there are some designs out there that are just superior, not just in quality.

I underestimated knives, but they are not to be underestimated.

I think mist people think yeah they are just a piece of forged steel without any mechanical features or even thermic features like a gun, but when you dive into how to use knives how to kill with them, you realize how important little differences are.

I can't get to all of mine since the wife and kid are asleep but in the cabinet I have a CVA kit muzzleloader(old style ramrod), a Sears model 1 single shot 22 from the 50's, and a rem 870. In the biometric gun vault on my night stand I have a '68 falcon arms SA 22 revolver, a ruger MKII 22, and a Glock G22 in condition 0 15+1. In my lock box I have a Glock G43 in condition 0 with extra mag 6+6+1, and my razor blade utility knife. In the wife's glove box there's a beretta bobcat in 22 7+1 condition 1. My kabar is on top of the fridge. And there are various knives and swords that were given to me(I don't buy knives typically) all over the house and leaned up behind doors and shit.

Lol. True. I used to rig up some interesting shit. Had to cut the banana in half, pan fry the wet end to eliminate contact surface moisture, bore it like a steam roller for a carb and bowl port, and use a glass bong bowl for the action. Worked and tasted interesting.
>>
>>703823034

I never took knife fighting seriously, I thought it was a waste of time since its useless in so many situations but in the rare situation it IS useful you dominate if you know what you are doing.

And its not even complicated, you just need to be very agile and ruthless. Most of it is straight up stealth murder anyways.
>>
>>703824915
I think the weirdest shit i did was use my..aquired gas mask from my reserve unit when i was waiting on my ETS!
>>
>>703825207
i mean..anything is stealth if none of the victims survive.
>>
>>703825238
Did that with a full face respirator. We had a small bong that fit right in the hose tube. It was kinda scary the first time but if you take as much as possible in the one way valves do the rest of the work to clear the mask. Craziest thing we did(more like stupidest) was a small gift bag(think Victoria secret) with a flying pig on it. We would strap the handles to our ears and there was a small hole in the bottom and someone would shotgun as hard as possible into that hole, you'd chill for a sec in the smoke, then you take both hands and squeeze the bag while inhaling deeply. We called it the doom pig.

>>
>>703826065
..well yeah but what i meant was even if you have to kill 15 people. if no one is around to see you killing them..it is still stealth after they are dead..

>>703826160
It served its purpose in that it was fun and stupid and we were young. It's been 8 years since I smoked. Bet tho if I still did I would be smoking through my Glock barrels. But that would make me a felon so I'm not gonna do that.
>>
>>703826505

Yes, but when would this occur? You have to take in account the aftermath of such action, if you want to continue a normal life afterwards.

And I tell you you wont kill 15 people at once and live a normal life afterwards.
