Advice for no tippers, I used to work in the restaurant biz. DO NOT go to the same place twice and not tip. Give it 6-8 months. When I was a line cook it was a pretty common request for one of the servers to tell me "this asshole doesn't tip please anon he's stiffed me twice" and I would drop their food on the floor or put dandruff in it. All my servers worked hard and were usually single moms/struggling students getting screwed over by cheap scrubs so I never felt bad about doing it. Can't afford to tip? Don't eat out. Don't agree with the system? Don't eat out. But don't make stuff a hard working person just because you think you're too good to tip when really you're just cheap and poor.

Because college is retardedly expensive. It costs me around $1700 to attend a community college (which are vastly cheaper than full blown universities) for four months. In order to have enough to go to a good college you need to either take out loans, work multiple jobs, or have a rich family, assuming you're an 18/19 year old heading off. I went to a Montana's recently with my wife and kid. We went about 1 PM on a Monday. The restaurant was not particularly busy and we got sat immediately. 5 minutes goes by at which point the host comes, apologizes and takes our drink order. A couple minutes later the host comes back with drinks when finally, our server shows up, he doesn't introduce himself, he doesn't apologize for the delay, right into "what can I get you".
We ordered 2 burgers and a kids meals. About 10 minutes later a totally different server brings out my the kids meal. 5 minutes after that a different server brings out other meals. I was basically done eating before I finally managed to flag down yet another server for a glass of water. It was only at this time our "original" server came back.
Why the fuck would I tip him? What did HE do to deserve money, straight from my pocket when he couldn't function. I worked in a restaurant, I received tips. His failure to provide good service resulted in the rest of the staff losing a little bit of tips.

This is false. If your hourly wage plus the tips you earned do not equal the minimum wage, then your employer is required by federal law to match the difference. Servers make the minimum wage.
