Depends on whether the needle even represented a threshold to you. The biggest pieces of shit junkies that I've known, the kinds the ripped people off, stole from their families, and really hurt people, all never touched the needle. Only snorted.
Meanwhile for me, having worked in the medical field for a while before ever using hard drugs, needles were a normal method of injecting a drug. never even considered it taboo. and i'm an actual functional addict, the kind you never hear about because we understand the consequences of people finding out we use.
