I'm disgusted to see the direction Åkerfeldt has taken, especially after signing to (((Nuclear Blast))). Nothing to do with their music becoming softer as I enjoyed their soft tracks as well as a lot of Damnation. Just an utter shame to see a band lose that beautiful dark atatmospheric sound that only they could bring out.

Know other similar stuff? For me Drudkh and Forteresse come to mind, maybe even Nokturnal Mortum. This is my favorite kind of black metal though, I'm not huge on the 2nd wave style.
I'm not that into Metal although I've always appreciated it at arms length. Could never take more than a few tunes at a time. Deeply into Sabbath as a kid. Later liked Bad Brains. Then Pantera and Sepulcher(sp).
Anyway, I like Lamb of God, but was wondering if they are seen as mainly technical gods like Dream Theater or taken seriously for their dark content as well.
