A lot of officers feel they need to separate themselves from the Jr enlisted. Don't do that. You don't need to be best friends with them, but get to know them, learn about them. Honestly, I think this picture perfectly captures when I stopped giving a fuck whether I lived or died. We were balls deep in Kandahar and people kept blowing up, we kept getting ambushed and more than anything we kept finding IED's everywhere.
