Thanks. Go to your local hardware store and ask someone who works there. They probably have some kind of material just for this purpose you can nail to the wall over the cable. If it's a printable material notably different from your wall color then make a stop in the paint department next.
Alternatively if you're willing to put more time into it and are comfortable with modifying your house run the cables into the wall directly behind the tv. Don't do this if it's an external wall though as you most likely will be blocked by insulation. Be sure to seal the hole around the cable with latex caulking to keep any bugs or drafts from passing through the holes. If you have trouble getting the cable out the bottom hole. Drop a string though the upper hole with something tied on the bottom to weight it and fish it out of the lower hole. It should be easier than a power cord. Then tie it to the cord and use it to pull the thing through.
You could install proper cable and power outlets on the wall behind the tv if you want the work to be downright professional looking. That's going to take considerably more skill than just a hole drilled into the wall though.

I forgot to mention if you get latex caulking on anything especially cloth if washes out easily with soap and water if done immediately. Once it dries it's permanently stuck though. Be sure not to accidentally buy silicon caulking as it's near impossible to wash off of anything.
