I've thought the same about making a modern deck but it's hard not to think it's extremely weak because you can't access certain legacy cards. The best Idea I've been able to come up with for modern is an Emrakul/Progenitus polymorph deck--theoretically, you can get a turn two emrakul but the only problem is if your opponent sideboards a bunch of stuff which could counter it on round 2.
