I found a great app called secret video recorder by kimcy929, you just push a button on the home screen and it starts recording, you can turn your phone off/ keep on using it while recording in thr background too

Sorry, no. I have Android myself, and I've heard that some functions (like recording with screen off) is impossible with IOS. Never checked though, for good reason.
Some people prefer screen off, I prefer making it look like I'm browsing reddit or Facebook.

These cameras are linked to what you would call the "internet".
They have an "IP" which "identifies" them. When you are on the web interface that controls them, you are asked for a username / passwords.
The point is to find some of those home cameras people buy, but that have the default passwords on them. And just llike that, we have access to home cameras thanks to people not being smart
