I think it's because the 90s (and early-2000s) was when artists had to work harder to produce anime, in that they couldn't just mass-produce it with computers and such. Since that's kind of what we do now, I think that's why animation today is more expensive (and the fact that people torrent instead of actually buying the DVDs).

It's the third movie in the Kerberos trilogy I think the name was. The whole universe started as a radio play and has since included all kinds of media. First movie was called The Red Spectacles. This, and the second movie aren't anime though. Only Jin-roh is. The first movie is a weird noir/slap-stick movie. The second is called StrayDog: Kerberos Panzer Cops, but I haven't been able to find it in a good enough to watch quality.

No, its easier to get good quality animation today. The difference is many popular shows spread their staff on various projects and have tight deadlines, its why DB super looks like garbage, because everyone was working on one piece. Whereas one punch man, despite having an average budget, looked amazing because it had talented staff all working on one thing.

I've kept a dream journal for a few years now. granted, it's still not "every" night that I remember my dreams or bother to write them down at least, but it's not uncommon for me to remember at least parts of 3 dreams a night. Now on the other hand, if you instead want to dream less (remember less), I'd say the best advice would probably be to not write down/think about what you actually remember.

It's weird how, even though I don't think they really censored anything, the gore in old anime just seems so much more visceral and "nasty".

Man Anime used to be so different than it is now. It seems like it used to be focused much more on shit for adults, and has just become more and more kid focused as I've gotten older.
I remember seeing ads for anime early in the morning on The Scifi channel back when it still ment "Science Fiction" and fuck that shit scared me senseless. Violence, horrific violence, implied nudity and sex, juxtaposed with the fact that it was a cartoon shocked me.
But eventually it drew me in, probably around the same time it drew most of you in.
