Sex doesnt equal gender. Gender is just how you see yourself in regards to relations with others, generally sexually, which is often the case for confusion. Its a semantics thing.
Gender is more based on self perception than actual genetics or schematic functioning (although they correlate). Since humans are special in the fact that they can perform metacognition, they have a degree of control over themselves and their perceptions, including how they see themselves in regards to gender.
Theres a lot of bullshit surrounding the whole tranny thing because of the vested political and economic interests that are trying to push things (like SJW), but thats the main idea behind it. Its just a matter of how you see yourself, and people with gender dysphoria dont see themselves as society declares them to be based on sex. Most of the time though, people dont really give much of a fuck and accept their roles because their egos arent that fragile, which is why you end up seeing trannies with lots of narcissism and its surrounding symptoms.

Mental illness is actually probably going to be a big thing in the next couple of decades and i think the tranny thing is really the start of it. What a lot of people dont realize is that there is mental illness everywhere, both diagnosed and especially undiagnosed. A lot of /pol/ probably has narcissistic/antisocial issues. Ive seen plenty of content on suicide and depression, and the loli lovers clearly have some underlying issues. Those three examples are just /b/. If you go to other areas, both on and off the internet, youll find plenty of people that need treatment, even if only for depression.
One of the funny things is that a lot of the people ive found that need evaluation tend to deny that mental illness is even a thing. Makes me laugh my ass off.

I find that, like in the case of transgenderism, the remedies are often counter productive, or lack research to prove their helpfulness. We don't know what a lot of these medicines we give to people actually do to the biology of the brain. Just look at all the side effects on stupid pills they advertise on TV that are for blood pressure ect.
Now let's raise the stakes, let's give someone who isn't mentally stable a drug that could either, make them happy, or make them sad, throw in their instability and you have created a person that could put a bullet in their brain or in the brain of someone else. Or they could be cured.
Obviously this isn't always the case. But I don't think that every person that is "Depressed" needs treatment. I often find everyday emotion is confused for some big underlying problem like depression. Same way I think little kids that insist they are the opposite gender are just pretending, my sister thought she was a cat until she was 9 then one day she got told to cut that shit and grow up.

Surprisingly, I agree with all of your points except one. They do need treatment, its just that treatment =/= pills or surgery. Personally, i prefer things like CBT for most people. Its really just a bunch of sessions that teach you how to become aware of your thought processes and how to change them to better suit reality and yourself.
