Correlation? Yes, that's not even controversial. It's picking out the cause that starts the arguments.
Race, like black/white/yellow/red, are social constructs. There is no race difference between a Swede, a Slav, a Greek, and a Brit. However, they are not even remotely compatible.
Intelligence may correlate with genetic factors which may be linked to skin color and other inherited ethnic traits. Grouping certain ethnicities as dumber or smarter only works on average and has to deal with social and cultural problems as well. But it'd be foolish to dismiss the concept - saying there are more dumb Africans than there are East Asians would be a fairly easy to thing to study in a controlled setting. I'm not well read enough to know for sure.
The issue with Africans and Latinos and raw scoring is that they are disproportionately poor and in poverty while East Asians and Western Europeans are more affluent, especially in America. So there's a *lot* of statistical noise in >>699201046

How can you look at that and say that those people, even many born out of relative poverty, are on average just as smart as any other group.
Then you have to look at studies on the inheritability of inteligence. So twin studies and also adoption studies. They show that intelligence is clearly inheritable.
Also, how long have we been breeding dogs, and look at how incredibly diverse dogs are. And we are not talking 10,000 years. There have been people in Europe for at least 40,000.

It all depends on what you call intelligence, as many things can be considered intelligence.
People get very good at doing what they do and they value doing. You as caucasian will have a very hard time socializing with an African Americans, and most likely will never be as good as an african american at doing so.
At the same time you may be excellent at doing tasks that your culture values as important. On one hand a redneck will probably not be as good at creating a business or going to school, yet if you are thrown to red neck land you wouldn't survive for a day in there and this is among the same group (caucasian).
If you consider IQ as intelligence, then you have to consider that the IQ test is a test that values what the dominant society (caucasian) values as intelligence. Therefor it will not have the same value for other cultures that do not value the same behaviors.
