The only reason mormons resorted to polygamy at one point in life is because people were attacking and killing Mormons for being Mormons leaving women (who still had next to no rights at the time) without husbands of their faith and needed to marry men who already had wives so that they didn't have to change what they believed in their heart and be provided for since it was hard for women to make a good living on their own, especially since they most likely had children at the time. When people stopped attacking Mormons, polygamy stopped.

Okay fine, I can't change what you all believe so I'm not going to try and tell you otherwise. It is a pointless argument to have and neither of us will truly get anywhere. These events occurred a long time ago and unlike now where we have advancements in technology to help lead to fact as to what happened, there is nothing but old documents and notes to describe what may have happened. I do have an answers to The Obfuscating Apologist to things he brought up because I did research them from both sides, but I can't just make the decision for one side because, again, I wasn't there so how I know which side is exaggerating the truth.
I will say this about Utah though, it's full of mainly two types of people. People who don't like Mormons, and Mormons who think that just because they're Mormons they think they're better then other Mormons. I lived there for years surrounded by these people, which is the reason I moved.
Basically, almost everyone is a fucking dick and judgmental Asshole down there, so I should not be surprised people hate Mormons if they met them. I think it's named Mormon because that way I can easily call those guys Morons.
