Bought one of these last week
(Stock photo) Duel Fuel V6 making 175kw, couldn't afford newer sidi model, but fuckers make 225kw, which is only 25kw shy of the previous model in a V8.
Fucker is factory duel fuel too, so fucking awesome to chase down the horizon for a couple hundred K's at a time here in Aus on the cheap.

Maxx Tracks are fucking magic for anything sand or bog related, You can always spot the guy that knows what the fuck he's doing, because he'll have a set strapped up somewhere on board.
Winch is a necessity anywhere you can hitch it, make sure you pack an extension strap, and a snatch strap.
But making the car more capable is 1st priority, so diff lockers are worth their weight in gold, go front axel first if on a budget.
Both traxx and winch has saved us and others countless times, Just be carefull with the traxx, don't lend them out to fucking casuals who will floor it and spin on them, it'll rip all the knobs off, and get a $2 tie down rope, and hitch them to your tow bar, so you dont have to stop and recover them or you don't send them to fucking china getting out of the bog.

Prado's have long range fuel tanks from factory (Duel fuel tanks) But we do keep 20l on the camper trailer.
Make sure to get a good arb air compressor and a lead that will reach all 4, regulating tire pressures is a must learned skill.
Winch, maxtracks, onboard air , Winch extender and snatch strap (And shackles + tow points to connect snatch to) are the basics.
Pic related is stock photo powering front and rear lockers + auxiliary for tires.
Apart from that pick the right tires for the job.
More you go out, the bigger your checklist will get, water, toolkit, zip ties, tire pressure gauge and valve remover, tire plug kit etc etc.
Make sure you lift the truck and verify the Xfer case is working, I've pulled noobs out the dunes before that are locked in to 4x4 but only spinning a single rear. Don't assume it's working, shits prone to failure.
