Weekends are actually WORSE. You've got to wrangle the child for 15 hours. In their larvel form, they don't sleep, so get used to 3hr of spotty sleep yourself.
That slowly gets better and by the 1 year mark they're sleeping most nights. They're ALSO getting into shit and you have to watch them. Get ready for all the things in your house to slowly rise out of their reach.
Around 2 they're talking and learn to say no and throw tantrums.
By 3 they're no longer sleeping 12 hours a night, so your once precious moments of not-baby slip away. Now by the time you put them to bed, it's time to sleep yourself.
