of course. it has lots of grinding, as to be expected of an nes rpg, but the characters and story are actually pretty well developed for an nes game. Also Mt. Itoi, the last area, is complete bullshit. It's a pretty good game and it's worth it for to get those extra lore points explaining things like why Giygas is attacking earth in the first place.
