ADHD does exist. It is definitely DEFINITELY over diagnosed though, which pisses me the fuck off as someone who actually has it.
ADHD isn't just not being able to pay attention in school or being irresponsible. I can literally pay attention to about 30% of what people are saying to me. Even when a conversation is interesting I still space out without knowing it and miss things constantly.
It even affects me when I'm driving. I have pulled out into oncoming traffic before because I was zoned out.
90% of people I see with an ADHD diagnosis is complete bullshit though. They were diagnosed because they are jittery or get poor marks because they don't care enough t pay attention in school.
Disclaimer: I don't use drugs or anything. I've had this problem since I was born.
