I have yet to see one that isn't an ass. Especially once they started taking lane space from roads to designate as a 'bike lane'. As a cyclist myself, I generally like them/us. I stay on the sidewalk though; no idea how others can stand to ride in the streets. My only problem is when people in the cars can't make up their minds if they're going to turn or not, so they don't use their turn-signals AND they stop their cars right in the crosswalks.

However, one time my best friend was riding and a bike and he got hit by a car. All he remembered was riding by the store than he woke up on some grass with his trashed bike next to him.

I clipped one on purpose once. He was riding in the middle of the street going slow as shit. I was behind him for a minute and just watched him blow through every single stop sign. It was dark and he had no blinker on the back of his bike. I just zoomed past him when I knew no one else was around and bumped him with my side view mirror. I work as an armored car courier and our trucks are diesel, I had a loaner for a day that had a shitty emissions system, and the entire day I punched the gas on bicyclists and people with their tops down or open windows.

Here in Bongland there is a much believed (by drivers) misconception that cyclists do not pay road tax and car drivers do. No such thing as road tax. Council tax pays for roads. Vehicle tax is a tax on vehicles. Staggers me that car owners do not know this or think I will believe them trying to bullshit me.

It's often less safe for bicyclists to be on a sidewalk. Vehicular cycling is about being seen and being obvious; that is, clearly communicating with other road users as to your intentions (stopping, turning, etc). On sidewalks, bicyclists can present a danger to pedestrians and, if sight lines aren't good at intersections and curb cuts, may collide with a driver who didn't see them.
Of course, vehicular cycling is starting to die out as a philosophy. It's still needed as infrastructure hasn't developed well enough to separate the modes of travel, but down the road I think everything will be separated on most busy urban roadways.

Been riding my bike around since HS. Still no license at 25, and chill on my cruiser around town.
Things I notice that ruin it for me are the biking faggots in skin tight spanks thinking they are high grade military tanks. See them all the time doing 15 in a 35 avg road, riding the fog line for no reason, riding in those faggot packs blocking the ENTIRE bike lane, and many other stupid things. They are honestly oblivious to both sides hating them, and always play the victim card when they fuck up. It's sad and pathetic.
On the flipside, drivers react to this, and never think it's an individual case. They treat all cyclists the same, by how ever many single encounters they had. This in turn can lead to incidents that create hostile drivers, thinking they are all like niggers, and asking to be taken out. One major thing they don't realize is when a bike rider hits a person or object going 8-10mph, it's a bump and bruise. For them, it's death.
I've not put myself in much danger, so I can't say how bad drivers are towards my biking. I've had people speed ahead of me, only to drift in front of me, slamming on their brakes to make it into a parking lot. If anything, road cyclists and drivers both fail to indicate signs and laws at the same level. Cyclists should never trust a driver to "do the right thing" and always expect them to accidentally kill you, like wise with drivers to cyclists (void the death part).

I usually ride around town because I live in a small town. I ride on a bicycle track wherever possible and when I'm on the regular road, I try to be as undisruptive as possible.
Most other cyclists are cancer. They don't bother to signal when they're about to turn, they ride in the middle of a road, they ride next to each other while carelessly chatting, they stop right next to the car when the light is red, they ride on a busy road while there's a bicycle track literally two meters away from them. The old women are the worst. They get to a intersection, jump off of their bicycle and WALK through the intersection because they can't while on the cycle for some reason.

Never seen anybody ghost riding here in Fresno, but I do see a metric fuckton of hobos riding bikes with their jimmy-rigged carts behind them piled high with bags of trash/recyclables.
