field medics are generally just medics with training but surgeons and army hospital doctors are full doctors.

Depends, if it's like Navy medical work. Though the 'first and foremost do no harm' thing is subjective in combat. Granted, it only applies to patients. Technically if they weren't a patient until you made them one, no harm no foul. But no, generally military staff who do medical work -can- have a medical degree, but usually operate more as... paramedics, in a lot of cases. Or coders. Things like that. It's more desk work unless you're a commissioned officer.

Somehow I don't feel like army doctors are real "doctor"s. But then again I've never really known a real doctor. All I know is that every doctor I've met seems like a soulless, heartless piece of shit - Working against you for self-profit or against you because they were told to do so by the gov't. But against you either way.

I was a US Navy Corpsman myself who went FMF. I was a paramedic before I joined, too. I can safely say the only difference is location and firearms, really. And generally you can pin MOSt of the wounds down to three categories; Explosive/Shrapnel, Gunshot wound, marines being stupid and hurting themselves. the job of a field medic in a combat situation is to stabilize an injured person and keep them alive until they can be sent to a hospital for proper treatment, like civilian paramedics, they have to keep you alive until you get to the hospital.
in non combat they generally have a number of jobs around like training or on base help, for example my aforementioned friend spends most of his time helping solders returning form deployment deal with emotional problems (so basically an army councilor)
