Honestly the first time I saw 4chan I didn't get it at all. It seemed like some weird anime site and I wasn't into anime at all at the time. This was I think in 2007. At the time I didn't have a MySpace or a Facebook or anything so the idea of social media was lost on me. I didn't understand why anyone would wany to communicate through posts on the Internet. The only thing that seemed to catch my attention was the porn, and again, why would anyone masturbate to just pictures when you could go to any porn site and see full length porn videos.
