Start small, then. My social anxiety disappeared when I got a part-time job that forced me to talk to people. Depending on your levels of anxiety, you can work your way up. I see.. social anxiety then. You should try and work on that! Whenever you're feeling anxious, try to practice deep breathing, just breath in and out steadily and slow it down every few breaths.
Also, when you're worried about a future event, such as anticipating when you need to speak to someone you don't know, try to imagine the worst case scenario. What' the worst possible thing that could happen that you're so afraid of? It might raise your anxiety at first, but the more you do it, the sillier and more unlikely the bad outcome will seem.

My problems are probably too complex but here goes...
I am a three year IV heroin addict flatting with my best friend who is also an IV heroin addict. We're both on methadone too. We still use all our money to use every night - it's really a sleeping aid for me at this point. Anyway, my parents think I've been clean for over a year now, but I can only keep up this facade for so long... Fuck, I don't even know what I'm expecting out of posting this. The obvious solution would be to move out so we stop enabling each other but I'm afraid of change and I should also note I have little work experience and half of a science degree completed - I live off a mental illness welfare payment. Fuck man I just dunno, I'm about to be closer to 30 than 20 and my life is just passing me by in a drug-induced blur

Starting small is the best approach. Lots and lots of small steps.
As for the unrequited love, the feelings you describe do not necessarily have to be romantically linked. Should your romantic feelings disappear (and they will) and a strong platonic bond take its place, then you may very possibly still feel the same happiness and worry that you do now.
It's okay to let those feelings go, in the event that you are certain they are unrequited. The longer you hold onto them, the more pain you will feel, and the least likely you will be able to move onto greener pastures.
If you think that feelings of love are so amazing, even if they're unrequited..just wait until they're reciprocated. It's far better. And by not letting go of your feelings, you are throwing away your chance of experiencing it.
