i haven't really watched anything before then because his style was still a bit awkward and cringy.
however he's become much more mature now and you can tell how much confidence he has gained.
that said i don't follow him religiously, but i check every couple days to see what he's put up.
i don't watch everything, but i almost always laugh and find his videos entertaining.
he does still act up a bit for the camera (eg jump scares, pretending he doesn't know what's about to happen, etc.), which is irritating as someone who isn't 12 and can spot it, but for the most part he isn't that bad.
he seems to be coming to terms with himself now because a lot of the time the comedy comes from his self-reflectance/criticism of the way he used to act.
i'm not saying he is comedy gold 100% of the time, but compared to the other big names he is much more consistent in his entertainment, and he just makes better videos.
vanoss is pretty funny too but it depends which game they play.
jack, mark, etc are pretty hit and miss for me. they seem to really try to emulate pewdipie and each other, but it doesnt always work.
you can tell they are still in the tryhard phase, pretty much pewdiepie around 2-3 years ago.

I like JSE too and am always so disappointed when he sometimes tries that excessive shrieking like Mark started doing lately (to become PewDiePie v2.0). But mostly he just talks really loud and seems like a chill guy.
