I made my forge out of an 18 wheeler rim, and some black steel pipe for the T. It would work better with a real tuyere and not the shitty scrappy metal I use, and it would be better if I had real coal too.

my friend is an apprentice fitter and turner, he gets me to do all his course work because he's literally too retarded to handle basic engineering concepts. when he finishes his apprenticeship he'll be earning the same as me, if not more, to be a machine operator. that's one step above production line work. great value for money there.

My childhood also involved a lot of moving to different cities, but in every school I went to it was the same. I think that social media is extremely valuable for young people, if for anything to teach them that the world is bigger than their town. I wish I'd understood that at that age.

I don't know jackshit about electrician work or millwright work in comparison to those guys, I weld. But you can be damn sure I make friends with the electricians so that I always have power. Millwrights are just insane to me. Moving massive equipment, they can (usually) weld, wire, and mechanically fix shit. Millwrights are awesome. Definitely the next thing on my list to start learning once I progress more in the welding world.
