Tbh I can't believe people actually eat this game up; on one hand I can understand it, on another I really can't. It's literally more casual (or at least super noob friendly) of an FPS than any of the recent CoD's. All people do is bitch about the noob-rewarding system of CoD then low-and-behold an even worse offender comes and ppl just ignore it (cause it's blizz? jk)
Gunplay is slanted to not look 50/50 but at heart all gunplay is 50/50 to almost 60/40 (except for like Lucio and Mercy pistol I guess). Mechanically it's super shallow (not necessarily a bad thing to most ppl) none of the guns are remotely difficult to use, zarya's probably being the most skill mechanically with an interesting mechanic. 70% of ults are just "talentless aoe near-insta kill everything" or the worst offender of talentless ult is s76 ult or bastion ult. The maps are all pretty much the same, and in Payload the attacking team is extremely favored since early deaths mean a lot of running for D, later deaths mean a lot of running, and generally the attacking side has favorable map layouts and less chokes to have to run through (watchpoint big example) and no, it's not me being bad, I'm top fragger nearly every game.

For those who played league s1-3, maybe even s4 i dont know if s4 had it. When you have a competative game mode with a "random pick" having a premade of a full team = easier win. I don't have a whole lot of friends i play with anymore because i have a job and im a adult now. Playing a 2 man premade in competative is the most miserable xperience ever. People hit level 25, stopped player waiting for competative, and started the season. I see people jumping off cliffs and eating stupid shit all game.

I've played thousands of hours of cs (amateur leagues since 1.6, under payed contract since css), dozens to hundreds of hours in UT2004, COD2+4, Quake, hell even some stronghold no garrysmod, so I'd say I have quite a good understanding of the mechanics of an FPS. I've also got 1300 hours on record on LoL, so some casual try hard salt games are also on the list.
What I'm going at is that Overwatch does a thoroughly terrible job at being an actual game. Teamplay and tactics is almost non-existent, you get a get out of jail free card almost anytime (ults) and to counter your team you don't have to be better, but just pick the fitting heros. I don't think that's how a game is supposed to be. Also the servers are horrible (20 tick? SERIOUSLY? 33 tick back in the day of cs16 was annoying, but 20 is literally just a tad faster than I can click a fucking mouse repeatedly).
As of now I don't see a single reason to continue playing this game. It's a watered down combination of countless games we've already had and I honestly think talking of it as a good game is nothing but a meme.

Her turrets are pretty amazing when placed in the right corners. And her Ult is neat.
But the shields she can hand out just strikes me as insignificant. And she needs to get close to do real damage, but doesn't have the health to survive close encounters on for long.
