The value of the British pound took a hit immediately after brexit uncertainty when all sorts of ridiculous rumors started flying around that HSBC and others were already moving staff out of the country. Turns out there wasn't anything to those rumors and now all financial institutions confirmed that they will be staying in London regardless of whether the UK leaves the EU or not. Students that are more qualified are rejected in favor of students that would otherwise not be accepted purely due to skin color.
Then comes the other question - given people of the same social standing but of different ethnic backgrounds, will they all achieve equal levels of success? Numerous studies say no. How much of that is due to intelligence and how much of that is due to biases in society? It's unclear, nobody really knows. Lefties will generally say entirely due to biases in society, because they can't bear the thought of some people being heritably less intelligent than others.
