I'm not sure if it's only US based or not but if it is I apologize.
Anyway there must be some sort of resource you can use nearby. Does your school have a counseling program? You could talk to a counselor and explain your situation to them, and they would be able to help you find what you need to keep going. Schools have an interest in keeping you in them and succeeding because it boosts their graduation numbers, so I think there should be some way for them to help. As much as you feel like you were forced to go, college is probably your best option if at all possible.
As for the philosophical stuff, yeah, there's a lot of bad shit going on in the world. I'm gonna give you a quote by Gandalf here:

You'll only ever experience the present, so make it as good as you can. There are lots of people out there like the ones Gandalf was talking about, who see all those bad things going on and know that all they can do is little good deeds. But those little acts of love do make a difference, I think. If not for the whole world, at least for us and the people around us, and that's what the world of our immediate experience consists of.
