So, what I've heard so far is that a large part of people critisizing the outcome of the vote attribute it to either old people or kids looking to rebel
>>
>>691351114
the people voted that the United Kingdom of Great Britain (which is the united countries of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales) should leave the Eueropean Union (a collective of nations bound together by trade, laws and a bureaucratic dictatorship).

Quite simple really, the UK is better off without footing the bill for the rest of the Eu and its failed economies and controlling rules. It dominated the world for a thousand years without the Eu and it will prosper without it.
>>
And mostly people in support are misspelling words in general sentences
>>
>>691351500
this is the opinion of those who wanted to remain and can't understand why they lost the vote. Using blame on those they feel aren't valid voters as a means to denote democracy.

Funny really.
>>
>>691351114
the lower classes and therefore less educated people in the u.k chose to throw themselves into recession because they are pissed that the empire is dead.

>>691352744
Farage is not in power, neither does his party have a legitmate say in political proceedings, unless we vote for it.

So his reaction is not important. What's important is the people got what they wanted as a majority. And that my boy is democracy at its finest, quite unlike the current deal in the EU.
>>
>>691351664
Pretty naive really.. It's 2016 not 1608. "footing the bill", that bill would be split between a number of countries.. now it's literally England and Wales, N.I & scotland already talk about leaving the UK... ffs N.I has considered joining Ireland and they have only been out of the troubles for the past 5 years? England is a joke and has royally cocked it up for everyone.
>>
>>691353121
but you were lied to....its not the process thats the problem, its opportunistic politicians and desperate people combining to potentially damage millions of peoples lives around the world.
>>
>>691352040
It's not that the working class is pissed off about an empire, quite the opposite. An empire would signify some semblance of social and political intelligence, it comes down to England being an inherently racist and lazy country. The working class in this country aren't willing to let anyone take their scraps without "being English".
Basically, the reason we're all pissed off is because the baby boomers will be dead in 15 years and have no idea what it's like to actually LIVE in the 21st century. The vote to leave has basically afforded us the ability to shed our 21st century lives...

Sorry, but we no longer have anything to offer the world. When the rest of the world relied on western thinking to help create forward thinking civilisation then, yes, we were needed.
Everything we could do can be done cheaper and better in the east... And we will rely on importing everything from them within 100 years... Where will we get the money from then? How exactly can we survive if all our money is spent on import and no money is earned from any export?
>>
>>691353772
I concur, and I'm English
>>
>>691351114

It's easy. A membership in the EU means open borders for everyone, very much so including criminals and scumbags from poor countries who want nothing but free goods where they can find them. This isn't all of them, mind, but it is a lot.

Membership also means no longer having any real say about important laws inside your own country, and on top of that it means having to let beaurocrats sit on their asses in Bruxelles and making up shit as they go along. None of them have any real interest in improving anything but their own paycheck, and we all get to eat shit while they laugh all the way to the bank.

The only good things about the EU are trade agreements, alliance, and law enforcement cooperation. All of those things can easily exist without all the added bullshit we're being force fed.

I for one hope that this leads to the rest of the EU countries getting the chance to vote for their membership, too, and hopefully we'll be smart enough to get our asses out in Denmark, too.

You are being bred out of existence by liberal faggots and the more they do it, the more votes they get. It is a slow death.

Alright. Let's pretend everything crumbles and *gasp!* we can't just make shit work because the beaurocrats who simply want to make money suddenly find it more important to stand up for their nationalities (that they don't give two shits about).

Everyone goes their seperate ways, realistically some (filthy Eastern Europeans) will turn to Russia for a new alliance, and others will stick with America (unfortunately). Perhaps World War 3 starts rumbling again, and with a bit of luck we'll have absolute chaos and nukes flying everywhere.

Sure, it sounds bad, but the money makers who're currently and will in the future make the decisions that shape Europe, with or without the EU, also know all this shit, and they know very well that nukes do not mean cash in their filthy not-even-jew pockets.

So think about it again. Will they figure out a way to keep making money? Or will they just say, "fuck it, we want out German/French/English/Italian pridez!" And blow the shit out of everything?

Really, in the end it'll be business as usual. They'll just have to find other ways to fuck us.

As soon as Greece or any other country goes bankrupt, you can no longer trade with that country, whether or not they're part of the EU or not. If they're part of the EU, you can save them with your money, so they can generate revenue once more, as long as they abide by your rules. To be fair, UK has a very different understanding of democracy than most of Europe.

Most EU countries joined having recently been freed from one from or other of dictatorship. For them, that freedom, that democracy was fragile, and giving away form democratic sovereignty made sense if it provided economic penalties for failing in being democratic.

UK last experienced the tyranny of dictatorship three centuries ago and has enjoyed democracy ever since. Much of which time was spent fighting off continental tyrants (Louis XVI, Napoleon, Wilhelm II, Hitler).

As such, it was always going to be more of an ask for Britain to pool it's sovereignty than other EU nations.

Yeah, that's why the House of Lords is so full of bullshit, innit? My god.

The Referendum was not about "being a sovereign nation" again (even though they were exactly that in the EU), it was because old fucks and brainwashed ultranationalists can't accept that the Empire is dead and Britain doesn't have that much say anymore.

Sitting on the same table as the germans and they have the same rights as us? Preposterous! We as proud Britons can't ave that, now can we?

>reform is certainly needed as with any large beurcratic institution...
I don't know if the UK made the correct choice for their people, however I think it did a huge favor to the EU.
The EU has been mocking its citizens for more than a decade now. It never wanted to reform and the leader of the countries did not push towards this direction. The EU just acts as a entity holding us by our balls telling us "don't be a spoiled brat, I bring you stability, how dare you be unhappy?". The UK leaving is quite a huge deal for the EU, hurting it like never before, but at the same time the only opportunity it had lately to realize it shouldn't take things for granted and rethink its structure and goals.
Now we can only hope the EU will take the opportunity and not just fuck everything up, otherwise in 5 or 10 years there's a good chance another country will leave. Maybe not as major as the UK, but some will leave none the less.

Meanwhile, if the americans had had their way, the arctic convoys would have failed, without which the USSR would have failed.

Equally, it was british troops which kept the Wehrmacht's finest commander, tactician and strategist tied up in North Africa, and Royal Navy officers which made damned sure that the Soviets got the materiel they needed to defeat the Nazis.

All D-Day ultimately did was ensure that Stalin's tanks stopped at the Rhine rather than the Atlantic.

In more modern history despite doin it wrong the Germans were well organized in WW2, the U.S. was easily the super power of the world a few decades back but has kind of slacked off, modern China is by far the strongest country around right now even if their built on lies and propaganda they could still shit all over the UK. Every single law that is passed in every single membership country of the EU have guidelines that they have to follow. If they don't, they get dragged to the big bad court of beaurocrats and get ordered to do as they're told.

there is no proof that we are fucked, but id rather stability, and the brexit thing just seemd like throwing in the towel and hoping for the best.

as fro right wing extremism, this isnt the start its the latest and greatest event in a growing trend toward the far right since 2008...look at the french for examole, marie le peine.. in 2002 her father was defeated in a landslide just because he represented the chaos we are in now.

le peine is already talking about a french exit, which would lead to an all out collapse of the existing structure.... i think its reasonable to assume we will all feel a squeeze if that happens..

European countries has been almost constantly at war with each other for centuries up until after the two world wars. And the EU (or at least the ECSC) has probably played a good deal in this.

There will always be somewhere people are poor and miserable. Maybe one day Africans will get to outsource jobs. You have to change the economic model and make it fair to all, you can't really complain about losing share in a system that still alows you to import much more than your share of resources from all over the world. Those "Chinks" have as much a right as you to lead a life that isn't just poverty and despair.

We need a calexit, time to make CA the utopia it should be. MFW tech companies (the most innovative economy on the planet) and entertainment taxes go to only CA.

Take one look at the casualty figures for the eastern front versus the west and you'll know, the wehrmacht was broken by the soviets.

Meanwhile, the canadians were hardcore line troops, who fought line demons, no question. They weren't the ones who forced american merchant captains to fulfil their contracts and deliver to Archangelsk however. No, it was Royal Navy reserve officers who did that, even when all they had were trawlers with machine guns bolted to them.
