Shining is underrated?
Låt den rätte komma in
Enemy
none of these movies is underrated, you retards.
Its a different kind of good. Its hard to explain, but this movie takes me back to how I thought things could work when I was a little kid. When I first saw it a few years ago, it made me feel like i was 5 years old watching it.
lmao @ that movie being underrated. Only a subhuman nigger feels that way.
Wait, what am I saying. A black person would never feel that way about that movie, that's such a white fagot ass movie.
Ravenous, bitches.
>>691206021
uh how is CO underrated?
you must be a child
>>691206191
you dumb or stupid?
MacGruber
>>691206021
>>691206191
gtfo those are rated 8.0+ on imbd while Source Code is 7.5 when it's way better than that ratting. Seriously go putlocker this and find even one thing that upsets you about this movie.
>>691206021
I don't think you understand what "underrated" means. That's the most overrated, ridiculous shit ever.
Balls Out: Gary the Tennis Coach
>>691206021
how is this underrated? every edgey douchebag since the end of time talks about it non stop. it had merch that is still on sale. its quoted everywhere. do you know what underrated means?
OP is a white little cuck boy confirmed.
>>691206021
This wasn't even good. The audio was shit too.
>>691207764
>>691207754
This
I'd bet money OP is still in his teenage years.
The Machinist is my pick
>>691206021
>clockwork orange
>underrated
uhhhhhhhhhhhhh
>>691206021
Clovkwork is overrated as fuck. It's not that good from a storytelling point of view, neither from a technic point of view. It's a good critique to society tho. And a good book as well
>>691206696
Not underrated in the least.
Society
>>691207943
>>691207943
B-b-but the audio it was uh much like the abrasiveness of the film the uh the audio it was meant to be bad it um
Fuck you you don't understand art!
Can be slightly too complex for an American but a test
>>691208275
gross, eric wareheim. i'll pass.
>>691208028
I liked the old-future aesthetic of the houses.
>>691208028
Cinematography was top notch as were all of Kubrick's films. His score's were typically excellent, too.
>>691207943
Wendy/Walter Carlos is a genius. You're a deaf cunt.
>>691208272
I love art ok, that's why I hate dysfunctional flaws that distract from the beauty of art. If I can't hear the dialogue, the audio is too shit.
>>691208275
>Too complex for an American
>Eric Wareheim
>Jon Heder
>>691208275
oh good, it's another pretentious shit pile directed by mr. oizo. it wasn't enough to ruin music, he has to destroy movies too.
>>691208765
I was making a joke
>>691208874
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.
>>691208874
You don't see them fight = terrible film
>>691209160
yeah the critics blasted it but I thought it was pretty good
>>691206021
I only like this movie because of Conker's Bad Fur Day.
>>691209153
Well it was a valid point.
>>691209413
but this movie received nothing but praise
It Follows
This
>>691209571
not underrated. please, go find a dictionary.
>>691209548
Oh I'm high n I forgot the topic sorry I thought this was just good movies.
>>691209126
Just too complex for you sorry
>>691209571
not underrated. google Best Horror Movies Of All Time and It Follows is on the list.
>>691209571
Although I found the execution to be poor, the concept was pretty original for a horror film.
>>691207806
>[
fucking fuck yes
>>691209542
I agree with your opinion on it, I just hate when people intentional take flaws and cop out to call it art to shield a 7/10 film from criticism because they are kubrick fanboys or edgelords.
Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny
Perhaps my favorite comedy tbqhfam
>>691209719
underrated in sweden fucking center of the world.
GOAT
>>691210323
>fucking center of the world
>>691209957
Yes! It seems like no one has seen this movie, but I genuinely loved it. I thought Seann William Scott was fucking hilarious in it.

>>691208457
Look at The shots, the angles. The scene where they are driving, the scene where they drag Alex to The forest, The fights.
Kubrick is amazing but The scnes from His movies are too "slow". Extended more then they need to be.
>>691210214
Not gonna lie, it was better than i thought. it still holds up after multiple views.
>>691210214
One of my favorites too.
Pic is my pick of destiny tattoo
>>691210959
Gnarly bro but how many cock pushups can you do
>>691210922
I liked some tenacious d and jack black is cool enough but I thought that movie was gonna suck cock when I watched it with a couple friends. I was completely wrong
13 TZAMETI
>>691209571
Like the worst movie ever. It walks everywhere, so as long as you get a fucking electric scooter you can easily get away
>>691210741
some retarded intern created a slideshow. they don't pay people, so they aren't going to get someone smart enough to know what "underrated" means.
>>691207754
This nigga gets it
OK call me a retard, but I love this movie. Could be the child nostalgia, or just because I like John Leguizamo and Dennis Hopper so much that I just want to like it. Also Samantha Mathis is fucking hot.
Posted BC this is an underrated thread, and I don't think it deserves a 4.0 on imdb. Anyone agree, or am I a dummy?
>>691206021
Clockwork Orange? Nothing by Kubrick is UNDER-rated.
Off the top of my head:
Turbo Kid - Basically megaman the movie. Very entertaining.
The Last Starfighter
The Dark Crystal
Real Genius
Sneakers
Stripes
Hunt for the Red October
Time Bandits
>>691212140
This movie is very underrated. It's actually a pretty good movie tbh. It also reminds me of another, "Mom and Dad Save the World"
inside job by refn
dark city was awesome but seems to have been forgotten
>>691212467
....because it's not that good.
>>691209177
You wanted to watch Liam Neeson fist fight CGI wolves? Do you have any idea how hokey that would have looked?
>>691212554
>>691212554
Dark City was great
But it was pretty well reviewed as well
obscure doesn't necessarily = underrated
>>691212418
duuuuuude that movie rules. Have you seen Earth Girls Are Easy?
>>691212140
Watched a few months ago with some frinds and their daughter.
>Too dark for kids
>Too silly for adults
>>691206021
I like Inglorious Basterds
Despite it being made by Quentin Tarantino, no one talks about it.
>Underrated.
>A clockwork orange.
PICK ONE.
>>691207504
that movie is bad ass
Wolf creek I&II best horror underrated imo
lol quoting this movie to people who know it is fun as fuck
>>691213963
I liked that movie when it came out and I was like 11 years old. Tried to watch it as adult and could not even stomach it. Pure cringe.
>>691213963
>Bullet still in casing
What.
Only movie I can remember genuinely enjoying
>>691206021
>ITT: we discuss the most overrated films
>>691214257
I'm not sure you understand what 'underrated' means.
>>691214324
You must be simple.
>>691212140
I'm not gonna knock you for liking it but yeah I disagree. That movie was bad imo.
bottle rocket
>>691214195
smoke some indica and it will make sense.
>>691214476
You must be if you think A Clockwork Orange is underrated. Regardless of whether you like the movie or not.
>>691213027
oh yes remenber this
>>691206021
>>691209571
This movie was trash
>>691214803
Kid's got jokes
>>691214476
You must not get out a lot
>this
>>691214827
excellent adventure > bogus journey
>>691214904
Better than the original
>>691214827
Not as good as the first one, but definitely doesn't deserve the shit it gets.
>>691214998
I disagree.
Death is a great character.
>>691209571
For some reason I feel like It Follows way overshadows the VVitch. Which was fuckin terrifying and also not nearly as widely praised as it should be
I enjoy these tbh
>>691208220
very Cronenberg. source?
>>691215137
Napoleon is the best
>>691215277
The protagonist in those films is a little fucking sociopath.
You like only the stupid comedies ?
>>691213453
So you dont like Quentin?
Also inglorious bastards isn't underrated
>>691213963
It's my favorite body parts the cock and the toe.
>>691215351
.... the source is Society. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098354/
I always really loved this movie, I know it's considered one of the best on lists, but no one really talks about it
>>691215669
I love Quentin, man. I just meant that this is an ignored work of his.
>>691213722
Agreed. The sequel is awesome. I especially like what he does to the stupid German tourists.
>>691215894
thanks
Brazil (1985)
Satirical distopia starring the high sparrow
reeker and no mans land the rise of reeker
>>691214257
Yes, I agree!
Couldn't tell you why, but I really enjoy this movie. Well, except for Penelope Cruz.
Under the skin
Does not easily let understand but the best movie of temporal journey
I really liked A Scanner Darkly, even though it's only got like 69% on rotten tomatoes.
>ITT: Movies literally everyone has seen & are vastly overrated
>>691219637
Timeline for Primer
Probably most underrated in this thread here
>>691219637
Fucking right. After multiple viewings, I watched it again with the infographic displaying all the timelines. I still barely understood what was happening.
>>691220299
nop 8/10 IMDb
Amazing trilogy of films that puts to shame every film Refn has made in America. Like, what. the. fuck. happened to that guy. His movies are shit now compared to the stuff he used to be able to produce.
Watched this shit the other night, it was good.
>>691220154
brilliant
>>691220023
awful
>>691220578
I still like his films. Like all the guy's done basically, even Fear X. But the Pusher trilogy is fucking beautiful!
>>691220900
Yea, that film is fun. McAvoy is a fine actor, who they should more often.
Movie is nothing spectacular, but absolutely everyone I talked to hated it and I thought it was really fun.
Plus, it sits well in the director's filmography. All his films are pretty cool.
>>691221829
You the man.
I liked Fear X. Turturro is so much more interesting and a much deeper actor than fucking Ryan Gozeling.
This
>>691221829
Yeah. I donno. Pusher, in my mind, is so fucking superior still though.
Did you ever see Bleeder? I could only ever find shit tier torrents with fucking swedish hardcoded subtitles, so I've never watched it, but the opening scene is fucking amazing.
>>691215568
you have to believe.
>>691222656
Sure thing! Turturro is one of the best actors in America. It's insane that he doesn't appear more. It's there's this curse on actors that worked with the Coen Brothers, cause the same could be said about John Goodman.
pic is another underrated movie he was in.
>>691223052
not really underrated seeing as how it made that dude's career.
>>691206021
Tits in the pillow
http://streamboobs.com/inflatable-lover-wpussy-kaede-p26185.html
>>691223075
Bleeder opening titles, for reference
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7i0aSem11k
>>691223075
Bleeder is great as well. It's pretty close to the first Pusher in every sense.
It's cool how I've always enjoyed that song a lot, Final Solution by Pere Ubu, that plays in the beginning, since I was a teenager. And everyone I showed it to didn't think much of it. Then Refn goes and puts it in one of his fucking movies.
This
>>691224521
you realise this is a classic right?
bad troll is bad.
???
>>691206696
Maybe i am mentally retarded. But this.
>>691224521
a film has to win at least 5 Oscars for it to be more than underrated.
>>691224452
Did you find a download, rent, or see it in theatres? I've been fucking dying to watch that shit & need access so bad. Love '90s Refn, and Bleeder is the missing link.
>>691224521
>>691224758
And a bit overrated in fact. The film is funny, but is not near as good as the book, which is narrated by the retarded Indian, and all written like he would think. Brilliant stuff!
>>691208275
this movie was one fine fail.
The Plot was not even about Eggs.
>>691225230
Private torrent tracker.
It is offline just now, and anyway thread would probably die before I'd be able to download it again and upload to an open tracker.
If you want to leave an e-mail address here I could do that and send you a link afterwards.
>>691206021
Paws (1997 film)
>>691209571
Movie idea was good, but the actual movie was just standart shit tier. It looked good but was a mix of every other movie and too much clichés
>>691220900

>>691226256
I'll definitely do it, don't worry. Unless there are no seeders for it, which is highly unlikely.
Noted down your address. You're welcome!
>>691226976
Hell of a film! I remember there was this cunt in a site saying he didn't like it cause the charachters were not charismatic, so he couldn't identify with the plot. Way some people think this world, man...
>>691227630
Guy was probably Elliot Rodger
>>691208220
Duuuude great flick. Such a good social commentary too
Forest Warrior
Mom, Can I Keep Her?
So, for the purposes of this thread, does obscure=underrated?
The Adventures of Ragtime
>>691228338
it won at least 2 Oscars, so I doubt you can call it underrated.
Shooting Elizabeth
I know for a fact i'm not the only one who loved this movie if they've seen it.

Howard the Duck
>>691229253
Pretty good, on a critic point of view, it isn't.
But on a entertainment level, it's pretty fucking fantastic and fun.
>>691206021
Kung Fu Husle
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0373074/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
>>691229142
the reason it wasn't widely accepted was due to the anal fisting scene.

sad af tho fam
>>691231481
That's kind of the point though, isn't it?
>>691231547
True. So fucking well crafted though, visually speaking. Didn't really care too much for the narrative motion, but, damn, such pure, pared down aesthetics.
>>691206021
Who's Camus Anyway. a really overlooked japanese film that isn't that old honestly. check it out friends
>>691231179
The fucking scene, man, the way it's shot. The way she is so excited about it, how she built up that bizarre desire inside her, and is truly enjoying that experience, but at the same time as we see it we can see all the absurdity and the ridiculous of what's going on.
The way those things intermingle in the long scene, with all its details, made it turn out into something I could see as truly beautiful.
Another film with that same kind of vision is pic related.
Destiny to Order
>>691206021
Super Underrated, The entire series is magical!
I win
>That fact that nobody will acknowledge this is reason enough.
Nobody agrees with me, but this is one of my favourite Jarmusch movies, and IMO the last good one he made. 'Only Lovers Left Alive' may have been the cringiest film I've ever seen, and I didn't make it past the 15 minute mark.
>>691232091
I suppose...that one just bored me. In the same vein, I prefer the look and weirdness of the Aftermath:Genesis short film.
>>691231714

>>691233787
I have. Pretty gory film. Real animal cruelty.
>>691233625
Shit is awful. Full of English actors in brownface. I don't understand how anyone can take that movie seriously, or consider it a classic.
>>691219138
This movie disturbed me. And I don't get shook easily. I don't think I'd ever watch it again.
>>691233246
Reminds me of the poster for Sideways.
>>691208028
is not overrated either, for me is a solid 9, an underrated movie for me is Persepolis
>>691206021
Why do you say clockwork is underrated? It's got great ratings on several different rating forums
>>691215519
so is a considerable amount of the /b/ userbase. whats your point?
>>691234337
I've been meaning to see it. Is it like, scary? Or just disturbing?
Are you, like, 15 years old? A Clockwork Orange isn't underrated at all.
>>691206021
>timeless classic
>underrated
Did you just get out of junior high or something?
>>691215078
Shocker, let's pick the one where the actor consistently plays an overly make-upped pedofile over someone who can carry a tune and had more talent in his uncircumcised cock than depp will ever have.
Kill yourself
>>691234495
Shit is pretty good. If you like that, & haven't already done so, check out Waltz With Bashir.
>>691234649
It's difficult to explain. Some scenes and imagery that won't leave your memory for a while.

I know it isn't too popular but I quite like it.
>>691234995

its alright.
its insanely corny though almost throughout the whole movie.
i'd say its just a fun flick and thats about it. nothing special.
This was actually a damn good movie easily one of my favourites.
