Honestly, the most annoying thing about him is that he's really superstitious and doesn't like to take risks to the point where one day we were playing a board game and he was in a moment where he could take a risk for decent profit. Me and another guy told him to go for it and he kept saying no until eventually he, almost in tears, yelled 'I know how risks turn out for me' and pouted the rest of the game. Cause it took about a year for me to discover these things and as long as we still work together I'm forced to interact with him in some way. Also, cause his speshul snowflakeness has chilled out and I think he's starting to accept that there's two other people at the table that I have to split my attention between.
And that sucks. I don't mind combat but if there's not some substance then it just kinda gets boring.
As for DMing, you just need to know the core stuff and a basic outline of what you want to do. You just improv from there and hope for the best. The hardest part is keeping lore in track honestly.
