Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums

Honestly, I don't think it would be possible at this moment in time for them to put out a disappointing album. It's an interesting album, there are places they as a band haven't explored before on this album, it's progressive, there's blast beats, electronic parts in certain songs and overall it is quite unique, sam has really, really fucking pushed his vocals. It's like they've taken all the best bits about all the previous albums and thrown it into one.

I feel like this is the first album where they haven't really progressed since the last one. I like it, but it's not really much more original compared to what they did before.
I fucking love the blast beat though.
