I've always just regarded them as melodic death metal. I like up till SR because songs like destroyer of the universe just sound so fucking aggressive. I think that deceiver of the gods and jomsviking sound the same in that they're getting less and less aggressive. I've also really liked when they sung about the Norse mythology as well as the whole viking stuff. In jomsviking I'm pretty sure they don't even do that. I think it's supposed to be a concept album about some warrior guy.
