Sometimes you don't have a choice. There are lawless areas, even here in the west the law is slow to act. If you've ever lived in northern Canada you would understand what I mean. If a child has a choice between starving and watching his parents drink their money way, or stealing food, I would support him stealing. My mom had to make a lot of tough choices growing up. She was just a girl but she was already the pillar of the family. One of my uncles told me that she used to cook eggs using a coffee maker for all her younger siblings and cousins while her parents were out partying. I'm not half the person she was back then, but I can still understand if she had to bend, or break, the law if the occasion arouse.
