Not all gay clubs are loud rambunctious things. The most crowded mine gets is during the drag races, other than that it's a pretty chill club with semi loud music and a dance floor. Different clubs have different atmospheres. As for the gsa, you wouldn't have to be a student to benefit from them. All you need to do is figure out who some of the members are and single them out. Strike up a conversation with them and see where that takes you. At most you can foster a relationship and at worst you can establish connections in whatever "scene" is present in your area/age group. I mean, you won't need to hire a PI, but if you want to find the gays you're going to have to do some looking if they're as hard to find as you're implying.
