Why would you want that tho? You'd have audio and power cables (and maybe network if not wireless) at a weird place. But yeah if you really need a device with integrated screen you don't have much choice besides a tablet or laptop.
In case you want a tablet there are more specialised music player apps as well "2player 2.0" comes to mind (also controllable from Windows), and for youtube you could just use the youtube app. Would maybe be enough for what you need it.

I can tell you that the story one piece is telling does not need to have lasted however many volumes of bullshit it has, but I think you know that as it's something of an extreme case. But this is true of almost anything serialized; it's why, say, Dickens' work is generally noxiously long.
I'd say that Ito's Uzumaki gets the idea generally right.
