I am 100% certain that there are people with skills as good or close to pic related who work for 50-70 euros an hour (which is good pay especially if you're not in Europe or America )
Heck even if it's 100 an hour which I am sure is something even good artists wouldn't pass on, you could come up with a good concept and if you're not fucking picky you could get your shit done with 5-6 hours.

Look, it doesn't make the music any better or worse, if the genre is X, Y or Z but it's just ignorant to call Sentenced to Life a metal album, because the core is clearly punk. No one calls Ensiferum a folk music group or Emperor a classical orchestra either. Sometimes these influences just work the other way around.

I'd say it all started with Bathory's Blood, Fire, Death. That's in my opinion the first album that has clear black metal songs as we know the genre today. Of the Norwegian bands I'd put Burzum over Mayhem, because the albums Varg recorded in the early 90's are unlike anything that came before them. I'm specifically talking about Hvis Lyset Tar Oss and Filosofem. Those are really important, because they lack the strong punk and death metal influence à la Darkthrone and also introduce ambient elements to the genre.
