Ok listen, let me start off by saying this. I hate women, women hate me. Now lets leave out the whole gender part of it even though it has a huge influence on why the movie is going to be garbage. Lets start by saying Ghostbusters is one of my favorite movie franchises of all time, like everyone else I think it would have been awesome to see a Ghostbusters 3 with the original cast but when Harold died so did the hopes of 3, and that was fine. We were ok with having 2 great movies. But they decided to not reboot it but to completely remake it, basically trying to wipe out the first two to more or less start over and make it with a modern twist. They are taking something we loved and changing it into something that appeals to an audience that will watch it for the novelty of the concept. Thats my issue with it.

1. We've wanted a true sequel to Ghostbusters for decades and as late as 2014, Dan Aykroyd was in pre-production with one. This film is guaranteed to kill it.
2. Its EXTREMELY lazy casting and director choice are, frankly, an insult to the franchise. Why find fitting actresses and a REAL director who respects the license? FUCK THAT! We'll just call everyone in the rolodex on the "Bridesmaids" page!
3. The special effects are completely soulless and conform to the weakest of Hollywood tropes (technology glowing neon lights for no reason and brightly colored ghosts straight out of Scooby Doo).
4. The costumes are literally SNL skit quality. I guarantee that Ghostbusters cosplayers spend more time AND money on their apparel.
5. Since the very beginning, this film has been about making a sexist, feminist statement a LOT more than it has been about staying true to the license. The focus on nearly all the production team being "Lol girlpower" is a testament to this problem. This is not a critique of the use of female staff for the sake of doing so, it's merely pointing out that the focus the team has is clearly not concerned respecting the franchise so much as it is about some ill-conceived social statement.

8. It's very dishonest for the team and Sony to imply that this film is a continuation when it is actually a reboot.

It's EXTREMELY dishonest and petty for Sony to manipulate the postings in the comment boxes of their trailer videos to not only delete thousands of comments that criticize the film but to purposely load the comment section with misogynistic troll comments to try to claim the negative reaction is sexism-fueled.

When the FEMALES scientists are mocked by their fellow colleagues they are shown to be emotionally and mentally stable to shrug their peers insults and dismissive attitudes and set off to prove themselves right. Rowan is written to be emotionally unstable and hurt by the dismissive attitudes and goes evil by building a ghost machine to summon an army of ghost and plans to use them to get revenge on the scientific community that mocked him. He gets exposed and commits suicide in the middle of the film.
Already the film sets the tone that men are emotionally unstable and the only way men can resolve things is through violence. Men are incapable of taking responsibility for their actions and will look for any option to escape it, and that includes death.
Kevin, the receptionist played by Chris Hemsworth, is portrayed as an idiot and the Ghostbusters only hire him because of his looks. There are scenes where Kevin wants to join the Ghostbusting team but is dismissed.
Again the film goes out of its to portray men as idiots, the they seek to become smart like females, and the only thing that men are good for is eye candy for females.

The diehard fans will be furious, but who really gives a fuck about them in the first place. If you've seen the series and liked it, then it's very likely you'll watch it out if curiosity, and it still retains the potential to draw in new viewers who will then give the series a watch.
