yeah i have a pacific salt II and a Lum; too lazy to take a pic. Great knives

I like the idea of it being bacon much more.

REKKTTT
Just got this about an hour ago. But I have a shit ton of blades.
>>685381366
Agreed
>>685381365
OP here, I rotate out carrying the two folding knives and use them daily. The fixed blades are just cool, and I do use them camping.
Got this from my grandfather
>>685380254
Are those all neck knives? Nigga you are a walking meme.
>>685382012
How old is that? Can't be too old, clips on knives were invented in the 1980s. Still cool tho
>>685376724
How secure is the lock on the bottom spiderco knife? Looks like a wimpy knife in the pic. Does the thumbhole ever fail you? I need a new knife.
>>685380254
>y so neckknaife
>>685381445
you must have a small dick
>>685382329
>lockback
>"looks wimpy"
Lockbacks are one of the stronger lock mechanisms in folding knifes, less prone to failure than the common liner lock. And the endura has steel liners, so no, not that weak
>Does the thumbhole ever fail you?
It's a hole. How would it fail? Unlike thumbstuds, it literally can't fail. Thumbstuds can come off and be lost, I've had that happen before.
>>685381991
that's cool. just asking because I live in the UK where carrying big ass knives is pretty much illegal outside of situations like camping or work / travelling to/from work where you can claim a valid use for them. and also due to the tamed and agricultural nature of most of the country even while camping out some of the blades here are pretty nuts to have around, a multitool would be much more useful than most of what i see here.
i do own a couple of spyderco's and stuff just for fun but never see a major need to carry them anywhere, i'd much rather have my leatherman and/or a good quality SAK.
>>685382329
It looks like a cheap knife is what I meant. The materials look cheap, but what I meant about the thumbhole is - do you ever fail to open it when you draw it? Is it consistent and reliable??
>>685382226
No idea

I don't wanna be a dick. But that's a Tac Force. That knife wasn't more than 15$ on Amazon. I'm sorry anon :/
>>685382859
Not OP, but the Spyderco Endura series is definitely not "cheap" in terms of materials. Handle is fiberglass reinforced nylon and blade is Japanese VG10 which is a premium steel.
>>685383180
don't really care i've just kept it in my safe since i got it

>>685385903
I've not seen a new sharpfinger, only old ones. This Deerslayer is a good knife. Full tang, the knife keeps a nice edge, and the delrin has some nice grooves in it. The jimping on the thumb ramp is delicious, and certainly lends itself to cutting through pleather, or any other fabric really.

Not much honestly
Just clean it up after use, maybe some gun oil ever now and then and besides keeping it sharp there's not much to do to look after it.
It uses 420HC stainless steel which is very corrosion resistant, so as long as you don't leave it out in the rain for a few weeks it will stay in good condition

>>685391130
Depends on how much I use it and how hard, but I haven't been disappointed at all
420HC holds a decent edge, especially with how Buck heat treats it, but not as long as some of the higher end steels
I use a Lansky system and take it up to 1000 grit before running over a leather strop.
Gets me a nice polished edge and scary sharp

Nope, top is Takeda, middle is a super old Kurosaki R2, and the bottom is a Kurosaki megumi
>>685398254
The 51 is probably my next purchase, I am a bit hesitant due to the weight though. All the Balis I have owned were quite heavy.
>>685398593
It's horrible man. You can't even 'leagally' carry fucking pocket knives is most parts of these countries. Yet we give police offiers a firearm after 2 weeks of training. Why the fuck do they need a gun. If you ever want to see a herd of micro dicks, drop by an aussie police station.

Packages, opening bottles, I even used the reverse end of the toothpick to clean my ear once. Mostly I carry it for peace of mind though. I live in a huge metroplex with hundreds of car accidents everyday, I like knowing I can get out of my car, or help someone else out of theirs (with the windshield cutter and breaker)

>>685398829
Yea might be strange at first but u get used to it. I like the 51 but I wish i had a bali more suitable for EDC like an arc angel or 42
>>685398866
You can't put a price on piece of mind. How do you carry yours? If it's pocket carry do you keep anything else in there with it? Mine is in my phone pocket.
Do you like any other Victorinox models? I was considering the rescue tool, but I thought it was a bit bulky for pocket carry
Here's my edc, really like it.
>>685399089
Forgot pic
here is my knife anons
>>685399441
What's the point of that cutout?
>>685399176
I'm seriously considering it. But you get fingerprinted on the way in, and then I'll be on a database for all of eternity, even if I somehow get citizenship (Is citizenship hard to get?).
If I was to move, what state would you recommend, it seems like some states like California are nearly as fucking bad as UK/Aus with their laws.
>>685399557
What do you mean cutout?
>>685399530
Looks really nice bro! I have the Hunter version. What model is that? The only downside is that it looks like the timber needs a little bit of an oil and there is no thumb hole/stud
>>685399453
Looks like a cheap gift shop knife looks cool probably not worth anything
>>685399749
The seemingly useless square shaped grind prom the center of the blade down to the heel of the knife.

I have a black Victorinox belt pouch (with the snap) that is usually on my belt or sometime in my pocket if I'm wearing cargo shorts.
I have 2 Classic SDs (Astronaut vacuuming and blue) and the one pictured.
>>685399316
Yeah, if I carried a bali as an edc I would want some pretty solid metal scales. I cannot though, stupid knife laws.
I'll probably buy a 51 or 63 when I can justify spending another couple hundred on a knife I can't carry outside my house.
>>685400638
the 6X series is cool, would buy a 62 for edc but that shits expensive
>>685400079
Daily carry? What do you mainly use it for, and how do you carry it?
>>685400048
To fuck up whetstones
i love this baby. its a good weight, controllable, nice handle (i have a big hand)
the blades nice... good stabbing motion, follows the weight of your arm nicely, well balanced
