Well, there is an official "sequel", but it's just a rebrand of another game entirely and isn't that good.
If you want an unofficial sequel, check into a romhack called Oh No! More Zombies ate my Neighbors. It's just Zombies with new stages and a few other changes.
Even has an Evil Dead stage which I thought was fantastic.

My brother had this for PS1. Dear God, not a great game for a console. We loved it to bits, not knowing better really, but goddamn. At least all RTS games we got for PC way later were much easier in comparison.

Well it did and it didn't. It wasn't planned on originally being the "official sequel" but made by a third party developer using the originals engine. The premise for the game started out however vary similar to begin with and made it easy to just roll into a sequel.
