I've always disliked the turks btw. so a group of turks randomly shoes up to school one day, only one of them barely speaking english. they were in the library bothering students that were study, speaking to them in turkish. one of the studiers was my friend and she said she only wanted to study cause she has finals coming up and they wouldn't go away for 30 minutes. after a very long communication process i managed to extract the very poorly spoken sentence, "vee ar xhere to look at da yooropean ejukashon seestem so dat vhen vee join de eu vee vill be rrready." i was fucking steaming. they then proceeded to fucking hand out goody bags to random students and teachers filled with turkish foods. they later came into one of my classes without asking and started taking pictures of the students with the flash on. they tried to explain their bullshit dream of reuniting with the european motherland as it was always meant to be. we haven't heard from them since. they think theyre worthy of the eu. pathetic
